Founder Files #0 A Note from The Archivist

I am known simply as The Archivist.

My task is neither to praise nor to criticize. I am not a journalist, a biographer, an investor, a supporter, or a skeptic. I am a recorder of events, an observer of ideas, and a collector of stories that may one day matter more than they appear to today.

History is often written backwards.

We see the finished cathedral and assume the blueprint was obvious.

We see the successful enterprise and imagine a straight road leading toward it.

We see the celebrated artist and forget the years when nobody was listening.

The reality is usually far messier.

Most great creations begin as fragments.

A note in a notebook.

A sketch on a napkin.

A melody hummed to an empty room.

A thought that refuses to disappear.

The purpose of these records is to capture the fragments while they are still fragments.

This archive concerns a growing collection of worlds, ideas, music, essays, experiments, characters, philosophies, observations, and acts of creation that together have come to be known as JUPARS Infiniverse.

At the time of writing, the future of this endeavor remains uncertain.

It may become something substantial.

It may remain a fascinating footnote.

It may evolve into forms that neither its creator nor its audience can currently imagine.

That uncertainty is precisely why these records matter.

The individual at the center of this archive will simply be referred to as The Founder.

Names are useful, but they can also be distractions.

People often become preoccupied with personalities, credentials, victories, failures, status, and circumstance. Such matters have their place, but they are not the primary concern of this archive.

What interests me is a different question:

Why do people continue to create?

Particularly when certainty is absent.

Particularly when resources are limited.

Particularly when outcomes are unknown.

The Founder of JUPARS Infiniverse has chosen an unusual path.

Rather than concentrating on a single project, a single product, or a single discipline, he has chosen to explore many forms of creation simultaneously.

Stories coexist with music.

Languages coexist with philosophy.

Humor coexists with devotion.

Imagination coexists with practicality.

Some observers may view this as a strength.

Others may view it as a flaw.

History will decide.

My responsibility is simpler.

To document.

To preserve.

To ask questions.

And to ensure that if this collection of ideas, worlds, and creations eventually grows into something larger than itself, there exists a record of how it began.

The conversations that follow are therefore not interviews in the traditional sense.

They are entries in a living archive.

A record of thoughts before outcomes are known.

A record of ambitions before they are fulfilled or abandoned.

A record of questions asked before answers become obvious.

The future often edits memory.

This archive exists so that memory may have a witness.
